The Scotsman 11-0617-21 Ice Machine Bin Thermostat controls the ice making by measuring when the storage bin has filled to its preset level. Its main role is to notify the control system to turn off or turn on the ice formation depending on the conditions of the bin. It operates based on a temperature sensitive switch that activates upon contact of ice with the sensing surface. It is placed in the bin area and installed by fixing the sensor in the specified position and attaching its lead wires. This component prevents overfilling and, minimizes unwarranted cycling.
