Product Description

The General Electric WR09X20002 Refrigerator Temperature Control Thermostat is a part that is programmed to measure the temperature in the fridge and to turn the compressor on or off to achieve the required level of cooling. Once the internal temperature exceeds the set point, the thermostat will switch the compressor on to cool the unit once the target temperature has been achieved, it will switch the compressor off. This thermostat is installed in the control housing of fresh food compartments of refrigerators.

Installation Steps

Step 1: The refrigerator is disconnected from the electrical outlet and the refrigerator liner is taken off the wall.

Step 2: The temperature cold control thermostat is found and the screws securing it are detached.

Step 3: The wires are disconnected from the thermostat and the old unit is taken out.
