Installation Steps

Step 1: The power to your appliance should be disconnected. Either the unit should be unplugged or the power should be deactivated at the circuit breaker panel.

Step 2: The workspace should be set up. A towel should be laid on the floor in front of the appliance to catch any small components that might fall during the repair.

Step 3: The drawer should be taken out. To accomplish this, a Phillips head screwdriver should be utilized to loosen and take out the screws that fasten the drawer to the appliance. Once the screws are taken out, the drawer should be slid out and placed aside.

Step 4: The baffle shield should be identified. The baffle shield can be found at the rear of the appliance, beneath the upper section. It will be secured with multiple screws.

Step 5: The baffle shield should be detached. A flat head screwdriver should be employed to take off the screws that secure the baffle shield to the unit's frame.

Step 6: The old baffle shield should be extracted. The baffle shield should be gently lifted out of the appliance and disposed of.

Step 7: The new baffle shield should be positioned. The new baffle shield should be inserted into the frame, ensuring it is securely in place.

Step 8: The baffle shield should be fastened with screws. A flat head screwdriver should be used to secure the new baffle shield to the frame of the appliance.

Step 9: The drawer should be reinserted. The drawer should be slid back into its position and reattached using the Phillips head screws.

Step 10: The workspace should be tidied up. Any debris or small components should be gathered and disposed of appropriately.

Step 11: Power should be restored. The unit should be reconnected by plugging it back in, or the power should be turned back on at the circuit breaker panel.

The Whirlpool WP33001755 Baffle Shield has now been successfully replaced.
