Installation Steps

Step 1: The power to your GE dryer is started by disabling at the breaker or fuse box. If needed, the dryer's power cord is disconnected.

Step 2: The screws securing the lint filter cover are taken out and the cover is carefully detached.

Step 3: A 1/4-inch nut driver is employed to loosen the screws that hold the timer knob assembly faceplate in position.

Step 4: The timer knob assembly is extracted from the dryer and the wires are detached from its rear side.

Step 5: The new WE1M652 GE Timer Knob Assembly, White, is unboxed.

Step 6: The metal clips located on the back of the new timer knob assembly are found and fitted into the openings on the dryer's control panel.

Step 7: The new knob assembly is fastened using the screws that were removed earlier.

Step 8: The wiring harnesses are reattached to the rear of the assembly.

Step 9: The lint filter cover is reinstalled and secured with the screws.

Step 10: The power to the dryer is reactivated.

Step 11: The operation of the new WE1M652 GE Timer Knob Assembly, White, is verified to confirm it works correctly.
