Installation Steps

Step 1: The power supply to your oven must be disconnected. It must be ensured that the circuit breaker supplying power to the oven is turned off or that the oven is unplugged prior to commencing any repairs.

Step 2: The back panel must be taken off. Typically, a back panel that conceals the oven’s components is featured by GE ovens and must be removed to access the bake element.

Step 3: The wires must be detached. It must be ensured to observe which wires correspond to which terminals before they are disconnected.

Step 4: The mounting screws must be taken out. Multiple screws that secure the bake element in position are included by your GE oven.

Step 5: The new bake element must be installed. The old bake element must be gently extracted and the new one must be inserted.

Step 6: The wires must be reattached. It must be ensured that the wiring is connected to the new bake element in the exact sequence as it was removed.

Step 7: The bake element must be fastened. The same screws that were used to detach the old element must be utilized to firmly secure the new one.

Step 8: The back panel must be refitted. The panel must be positioned correctly, ensuring all screws are tightened securely.

Step 9: The power must be restored. After the panel has been refitted, the power may be turned back on to the oven.

Please remember that these instructions serve as general guidance and should always be used alongside the manufacturer's manual, if available.
