Installation Steps

Step 1: The Whirlpool dryer is disconnected from the power source and the gas supply is deactivated by shutting the valve.

Step 2: Access to the internal components of the dryer is gained by detaching the top panel, front panel, and lint screen.

Step 3: The wires from the 4391996 Whirlpool dryer flat ignitor are unlinked by freeing the terminal clips.

Step 4: The screws holding the ignitor to the burner are taken out and the ignitor is extracted.
