Installation Steps

Step 1: Disconnect the Power Cord - Prior to commencing any service or repair on your Speed Queen Washer Flex Vane Agitator, it is crucial for the power cord to be disconnected to prevent electric shock.

Step 2: Take off the Top of the Washer - A screwdriver should be employed to take out the screws located at the back of the washer's top. The screws should be set aside and the lid should be lifted away from the appliance.

Step 3: Detach the Water Hoses - The cold water inlet hose should be detached from the washer's fill valve. The hot water hose should be disconnected next. After that, the drain hose should be removed. The hoses should be temporarily placed aside.

Step 4: Extract the Old Agitator - The screw situated in the center of the agitator should be loosened using a Phillips head screwdriver. After the screw is taken out, the agitator should be grasped and pulled directly upward. If needed, a pair of pliers should be utilized to carefully maneuver the agitator out of the washer.

Step 5: Position the New Agitator - The new agitator should be lowered into the washer. It should ensure that it is correctly aligned and secure. Now, the screw should be placed back in the center of the agitator and tightened with the screwdriver.

Step 6: Reconnect the Water Hoses - The cold water inlet hose should be reattached to the washer's fill valve. Next, the hot water hose should be reconnected. Finally, the drain hose should be reattached.

Step 7: Put Back the Top of the Washer - The lid should be repositioned onto the appliance and fastened with the screws that were removed previously.

Step 8: Verify the Washer - The washer should be plugged in again and a cycle should be initiated to confirm that the new agitator is functioning properly.
